INTRODUCTION:
The article describes the rapid load test history from its invention 40 years ago until nowadays. As the method was being developed and improved it can be seen that more and more countries were integrating this type of pile testing into their national norms based on independent research and comparative tests, included in references. The same trend can be seen for the analysis and interpretation development that results into the user-independent results that we have nowadays.
