Monitoring Dynamic Settlements

Reyca

Allnamics has developed the Reyca to measure the displacement of a foundation pile during a Dynamic Load Test or a Rapid Load Test.

Displacements during Dynamic Load Tests are often derived indirectly by double integrating accelerations. The integration of minor measuring errors and inaccuracies in the accelerations leads to an exponentially increasing inaccuracy of displacement (because of the double integration). Over time, adjusted signals and data correction gave presentable results, which were accepted. However, experts know that displacements based on accelerations can never be reliable or accurate.

Because of the above reasons, Allnamics developed the Reyca, a dedicated instrument for direct measuring of displacements.

Key Benefits

  • Self-calibrating
  • Works under an angle; no leveling required
  • Laser beam for guiding and aiming
  • Easy to mount reflector plate on the pile or another moving subject
  • Monitoring at a distance of up to 35 m for accurate monitoring. Within 15 m, accuracy is doubled
  • For monitoring high and slow-speed events
  • Easy to operate with additional software for monitoring and reporting, the Reyca®
  • Export of data in Excel or CSV format
  • Supported by the Allnamics Team with more than 50 years of experience

MEASURING PRINCIPLE

The Reyca is based on an optical sensor and a high-speed camera observing the reflections of the Reyca Reflector Plate mounted on the measured object.

The Reyca can be used for:

  • Rapid Load Tests
  • Dynamic Load Tests
  • Pile Driving Analysis
  • Train Rail Movements
  • Monitoring of displacements of bridges during train or traffic passage
  • Tracking of other low and high-speed movements and displacements

Self Calibrating

Due to its unique measuring principle, the Reyca is self-calibrating. The calibration is part of every monitoring. As a result, the Reyca setup is not necessarily leveled or pendicular on the measured object or pile.

Reyca is Self Calibrating
The Reyca monitoring system is not depending on levelling the system. Measurements can be taken at an angle, both in vertical and horizontal direction. Due to the self-calibrating measuring method, there are no effects on the accuracy of the measurement

Results

The software exports monitored data in CSV-format for importing and analyzing the data in Excel or other data acquisition packages. The Reyca Software Package presents measured results on the screen as well.
