INTRODUCTION:
An overview of the development and application of a new pile load test method called Statnamic. Its long duration load, compared to dynamic load testing, allows a straightforward determination of the static load behavior of piles. A description of the applied pile and soil model and a case study for a loading rate-sensitive soil type in The Netherlands is presented.
