JOB OFFER GEOTECHNICAL EXPERT

As a geotechnical engineer, you will work on the geotechnical requests of our clients worldwide. Mainly, but not limited to, the use and reuse of foundations. The tasks involve designing, testing, and assessing new and existing foundations. Assessing the pile installation method, the application of vibratory hammers and impact hammers, the use of testing programs to optimise the foundation design, the suitability of an existing foundation for an updated new superstructure, etc.

Internal training and gaining experience on this job brings you from a geotechnical engineer to a Geotechnical Expert.

Tasks

• Providing expert advice on geotechnical engineering aspects of foundations
• Analysing and characterising the geotechnical project data (factual reports, CPT data, borehole loggings, geotechnical lab results, etc.) and its relation with the foundation design and installation method
• Geotechnical designs
• Advising on installation procedures and pile testing protocols. Advice the clients on how pile testing, Static, Rapid and Dynamic pile load tests, can contribute to a more cost-effective and carbon-reduced foundation design
• Reporting and presenting results to clients and engaging in technical discussions and meetings
• Performing driveability analyses, modelling local soil conditions, selecting appropriate hammers, and performing driveability simulations for impact and vibratory hammers
• Participating in R&D activities, contributing specialist geotechnical knowledge to the further development of the Allnamics PDR monitoring equipment and AllWave software packages
• Postdictions and analysing monitoring results and driving logs after installation
• Proficiency in technical reporting
• Collaborating closely with the sales team, R&D team, and clients’ geotechnical experts
